Christina's Story
Born Deaf, Christina’s personality and self-confidence blossomed after she learned sign language in young adulthood through language immersion in local ASL communities and Gallaudet, a university for the Deaf in Washington, DC.
At Gallaudet, she earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Leisure Studies. She has since worked, lived, and adventured across the US and Canada with communities that foster her Deafhood and embrace challenge with growth.
Experiences include ASL teaching and mentoring with all ages, teaching in an ASL/English bilingual classroom, and multi-disciplinary outdoor adventure guiding with a specialized focus on rock climbing.
